Common Recipe for Bacon cheeseburger
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 8 slices thick-cut bacon
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1/2 cup sliced pickles
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
Instructions:
- Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, gently mix the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into 4 equal patties, making a small indentation in the center of each.
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Grill or cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the grill or skillet to melt the cheese.
- Butter the insides of the buns and toast them on the grill or in a skillet until golden brown.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.
- Layer the lettuce, a cheese-topped burger patty, crispy bacon slices, tomato slices, and pickles on each bun.
- Top with the remaining bun halves and serve immediately.
Notes:
For added flavor, try using smoked bacon and sharp cheddar cheese. Serve with classic sides like French fries or onion rings. To store, wrap leftover burgers tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
