Blue cheese dressing
A creamy and tangy dressing made with blue cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, and seasonings, often used as a salad topping or dip.
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise and sour cream. Stir until well blended.
- Add the crumbled blue cheese to the bowl. Use a fork to mash some of the cheese into the mixture while leaving some chunks whole for texture.
- Stir in the white wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
- Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or pepper according to your preference.
- If a thinner consistency is desired, slowly stir in the milk or buttermilk until the dressing reaches your preferred consistency.
- Transfer the dressing to a covered container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Give the dressing a good stir before serving. If it has thickened too much, add a splash more milk or buttermilk to loosen it.
