Paneer Butter Masala

A rich and creamy Indian curry made with paneer cubes simmered in a spiced tomato and butter-based sauce.

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another 2-3 minutes until the raw smell disappears.
  3. Stir in the tomato puree and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oil starts to separate from the sauce.
  4. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, mixing until the sauce is well combined and creamy.
  6. Add the paneer cubes and garam masala to the sauce, gently stirring to coat the paneer with the sauce. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Crush the dried fenugreek leaves between your palms and add them to the curry. Stir well.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and serve hot.
