Paneer Butter Masala
A rich and creamy Indian curry made with paneer cubes simmered in a spiced tomato and butter-based sauce.
Instructions
- Heat butter and oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another 2-3 minutes until the raw smell disappears.
- Stir in the tomato puree and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oil starts to separate from the sauce.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, mixing until the sauce is well combined and creamy.
- Add the paneer cubes and garam masala to the sauce, gently stirring to coat the paneer with the sauce. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Crush the dried fenugreek leaves between your palms and add them to the curry. Stir well.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and serve hot.
