naan tacos

A fusion dish combining soft naan bread with taco fillings such as spiced meats, fresh vegetables, and flavorful sauces.

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chicken strips with vegetable oil, cumin, coriander, garam masala, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly with the spices.
  2. Cover and marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken strips and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are cooked through and slightly charred, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. While the chicken is cooking, warm the naan bread in a dry skillet or in the oven until soft and pliable, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Spread a generous tablespoon of plain yogurt over each piece of naan.
  6. Top the yogurt with a spoonful of mint chutney, spreading it evenly.
  7. Divide the cooked chicken among the naan breads, placing it in the center of each.
  8. Top the chicken with diced cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, and fresh cilantro.
  9. Fold the naan in half to enclose the fillings and serve immediately.
