naan tacos
A fusion dish combining soft naan bread with taco fillings such as spiced meats, fresh vegetables, and flavorful sauces.
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken strips with vegetable oil, cumin, coriander, garam masala, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly with the spices.
- Cover and marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken strips and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are cooked through and slightly charred, about 8-10 minutes.
- While the chicken is cooking, warm the naan bread in a dry skillet or in the oven until soft and pliable, about 2-3 minutes.
- Spread a generous tablespoon of plain yogurt over each piece of naan.
- Top the yogurt with a spoonful of mint chutney, spreading it evenly.
- Divide the cooked chicken among the naan breads, placing it in the center of each.
- Top the chicken with diced cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, and fresh cilantro.
- Fold the naan in half to enclose the fillings and serve immediately.
