Maple syrup pancakes
Fluffy pancakes topped with rich maple syrup, offering a sweet and comforting breakfast or brunch treat.
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some small lumps are okay.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.
- Pour 1/4 cup (60ml) of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes.
- Flip the pancakes and cook until the other side is golden brown, about 2 minutes more.
- Transfer cooked pancakes to a warm plate and cover to keep warm while you cook the remaining batter.
- Serve the pancakes warm, topped with a generous drizzle of maple syrup.
