Chicken Alfredo
A creamy pasta dish made with fettuccine, tender chicken, and a rich Alfredo sauce of butter, cream, and Parmesan cheese.
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken strips with salt and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let it cook for 3-4 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Reduce the heat to low, and gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, stirring to coat it in the Alfredo sauce.
- Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing to combine with the sauce and chicken until everything is well coated.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
