Branzino al Forno

A Mediterranean dish featuring whole roasted sea bass seasoned with olive oil, garlic, herbs, and lemon, baked to tender perfection.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse the branzino under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Score the skin lightly on both sides of each fish.
  3. Rub the branzino inside and out with olive oil, then season generously with salt and black pepper.
  4. Stuff each fish cavity with sliced garlic, lemon slices, parsley, and thyme or rosemary.
  5. Place the stuffed fish on a large baking dish or sheet pan.
  6. Pour the white wine around the fish in the baking dish to keep them moist during baking.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and the flesh flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Remove the fish from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
  9. Transfer the cooked branzino to a serving platter. Garnish with additional fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
