Spicy Ramen

A Japanese-inspired noodle soup featuring wheat noodles, a rich and spicy broth, chili oil, garlic, and toppings like soft-boiled eggs, green onions, and sliced pork.

Instructions

  1. Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili oil to the pot, stirring to combine.
  4. Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  5. In a separate pan, cook the sliced pork belly over medium-high heat until browned and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Divide the cooked noodles into bowls. Pour the spicy broth over the noodles.
  7. Top each bowl with crispy pork slices, halved soft-boiled eggs, sliced green onions, and sesame seeds.
  8. Serve immediately, allowing diners to mix the toppings into the broth as they eat.
