Ramen

A Japanese noodle soup consisting of wheat noodles served in a flavorful broth, often topped with ingredients like sliced pork, soft-boiled eggs, seaweed, and green onions.

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the chicken broth and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. Add the soy sauce, mirin, miso paste, and sesame oil to the pot. Stir well until the miso paste is completely dissolved.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and let the broth simmer gently for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Divide the cooked noodles evenly among four bowls.
  6. Top each bowl with slices of chashu pork, half a soft-boiled egg, bamboo shoots, and nori strips.
  7. Ladle the hot broth over the noodles and toppings in each bowl.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions and a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve immediately while hot.
