Pecan Pie

A sweet pie made with pecans, sugar, eggs, and butter, baked in a flaky crust.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Position a rack in the center of the oven.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, light corn syrup, and melted butter. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and salt until fully combined.
  4. Place the pecan halves in the bottom of the unbaked pie crust, spreading them evenly.
  5. Pour the prepared filling over the pecans, ensuring they are covered and distributed evenly.
  6. Carefully place the pie on a baking sheet to catch any drips and transfer to the preheated oven.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and the pie is golden brown. The center should spring back slightly when gently pressed.
  8. Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
  9. Serve slices with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.
