pecan brownies

A rich and fudgy dessert made with chocolate and pecans, offering a nutty crunch in every bite.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Mix well until the sugar is fully incorporated.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture, beating until smooth and well combined.
  5. Sift in the cocoa powder and mix until fully incorporated, ensuring there are no lumps.
  6. Gradually fold the dry flour mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  7. Gently fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the batter.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.
