Kale Chips
A healthy snack made from kale leaves, lightly seasoned and baked until crispy.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Remove the thick stems from the kale and tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large bowl, drizzle the kale pieces with olive oil. Sprinkle with sea salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, nutritional yeast, and cayenne pepper if using.
- Massage the kale with your hands to evenly distribute the oil and seasonings over all the leaves.
- Spread the kale leaves in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even baking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping the leaves halfway through, until they are crispy and just starting to brown.
- Remove from the oven and let the kale chips cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt or pepper if needed.
- Transfer to a bowl and serve immediately for optimal crispiness.
