Sandwich

Instructions
- Spread the softened butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place the bread slices buttered side down on a clean work surface.
- Spread a thin layer of English mustard on the unbuttered side of each slice.
- Layer the ham evenly on top of the mustard on one slice of bread.
- Add the cheddar cheese slices over the ham.
- Arrange the tomato slices on top of the cheese, followed by the romaine lettuce leaves.
- Scatter the red onion slices over the lettuce and season with salt and pepper.
- Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing up.
- Gently press the sandwich together and cut it in half diagonally with a sharp knife.
- Serve immediately or wrap in parchment paper for a packed lunch.
