A soothing herbal infusion made by steeping fresh or dried ginger in hot water, often enjoyed for its warming and digestive properties.

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil over high heat.
  2. Add the sliced ginger, black pepper, cardamom pods, and cinnamon stick to the boiling water.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the tea into cups using a fine mesh sieve.
  5. Stir in honey and lemon juice to taste, adjusting the sweetness and tartness to your preference.
  6. If using, add turmeric powder and mix well until fully dissolved.
  7. Garnish with a few fresh mint leaves before serving.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy the soothing, aromatic flavors of this traditional Indian ginger tea.
