Chocolate fondue

A dessert dish featuring melted chocolate served with an assortment of dippable items like fruits, marshmallows, and pastries.

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the heavy cream, butter, and sugar. Stir frequently until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the chopped chocolate. Stir gently until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and kirsch (if using) until fully incorporated.
  4. Transfer the chocolate mixture to a fondue pot or a serving bowl set over a small tea light or warming element to keep it warm.
  5. Arrange the assorted dippers on a platter around the fondue pot or bowl.
  6. Serve immediately, using fondue forks or skewers to dip the assorted items into the chocolate.
