Bulgogi
Thinly sliced beef marinated in soy sauce, garlic, and sugar, then grilled or stir-fried.
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated onion, sesame seeds, black pepper, and mirin (if using). Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor.
- Heat a grill pan or large skillet over medium-high heat. If using a grill, lightly oil the grates.
- Once the pan is hot, add the marinated beef slices in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the beef is cooked through and slightly caramelized.
- Remove the beef from the pan and transfer to a serving platter. Sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.
- Serve hot with steamed rice and a side of kimchi for a complete meal.
