Tuna Tartare

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended to create a marinade.
  2. Add the diced tuna to the marinade, gently tossing to ensure all the pieces are evenly coated.
  3. Fold in the chopped shallot, chives, and capers into the tuna mixture, ensuring even distribution.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Taste the tuna tartare and adjust the seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or lime juice as needed.
  6. For serving, use a ring mold to shape the tuna tartare on individual plates for an elegant presentation.
  7. Garnish with additional chives or a small drizzle of olive oil if desired.
